HR Benefits & Pay eXpert Integration

We’ve made great strides in bringing these two products together for a more seamless user experience. Bringing clients a unified experience throughout their suite of ADP products is a major theme of the HR/B product roadmap. The seamless sharing of information throughout ADP applications is an essential step to help clients efficiently manage their business. This project is being completed in phases. You can decide when to take advantage of the new functionality. Each phase requires integration services to work with clients on a one-on-one basis and alter each individual payroll connection file. In order to minimize the impact to clients’ daily processes, and not go through the process of altering their connection more than once, most clients will not be transitioned until the final phase.

To take part in any of the phases available today contact Client Services via email and request to be placed in queue for the enhancement you’re interested in. A service team member will work with you to make the necessary connection changes.

Single Sign On: HRB is now part of the single sign on suite of ADP Portal Products. HRB uses the same digital certificate technology as other products and no longer requires a unique user name and password. Clients can access HR/B with the same username and password they use when accessing other ADP Single Sign On products. Also, if clients are already logged into the ADP Portal or another one of these ADP products, they can access HR/B without having to reenter their credentials. Single Sign On compatible ADP products include, but are not limited to, Pay eXpert, iPay, ADP Portal, GL Interface, ADP Reporting, TotalPaycard Website, TotalPay iNet, and W2 services.

Auto Delivery of Connection File: The payroll connection file will be automatically delivered to import bin within Pay eXpert. This eliminates the manual process of downloading the payroll connection file to a user’s desktop and uploading the file into the Pay eXpert bin.

Real Time New Hire: New employees added to HR/B are automatically sent to PayX real time when the new employee record is saved in HR/B. There are data 40 fields such as address, DOB, and SSN that transfer to Pay eXpert when the employee record is saved. Due to the date-sensitive data transmitted, this feature may be best for clients who pay their employees on the pay period end date. For more information, contact Client Services.

Real Time Employee Updates: With this phase, any time employee data is changed in HR/B in one of the 40 fields sent from HR/B to Pay eXpert during the new hire process, the update will occur real time in Pay eXpert.

Benefit Deductions: In most cases benefit deduction information is the last piece of information remaining on the connection file. The final phase of the HR/B Pay eXpert integration project will transmit benefit deduction information from HR/B to Pay eXpert on a set schedule. Client Services will help determine the frequency that best fits each clients’ needs. Some clients need deduction updates to pass once each day, other clients prefer to only send benefit deduction updates at the beginning of a new pay period. In most cases this phase removes the need for a connection between HR/B and Pay eXpert and the connection file will be eliminated.
