Corporate Portals – Design your own corporate portal with a unique look and feel while maintaining real-time access to employee data. For instance, IBM WebSphere Portal customers can download ADP Employease's eHR Portlet to access ADP Employease solutions via a single user interface along side other portal solutions including calendaring, messaging, and email.

Enterprise Integration - Integrate seamlessly with other applications including in-house systems and on demand applications in the areas of CRM, expense management, financials, logistics, manufacturing, messaging, and procurement.

  • XML Payload Development
  • Experience designing EDI applications which produce structured, transactional, XML data files conforming to existing schemas
  • Experience with common web service technology, specifically SOAP.
  • Ability to handle request and response payloads using the HTTPS protocol
  • Knowledge of the source system and how to extract data from that system in different business scenarios (e.g. new hire v. salary change) The data extracted should be changes only.

What is ADP HR/Benefits Extend?

ADP HR/Benefits Extend is made up of a collection of flexible web services that enable provisioning of data, consumption of data and execution of processes within HR/B. No proprietary programming languages are required to develop or implement ADP HR/Benefits Extend Core Services.

ADP HR/Benefits Extend separates the presentation layer from the application layer so that organizations can integrate with any other system or entity across the network regardless of programming language, platform, device, or web browser.

What is a portal?

Everyone has their own definition of a portal. There are three key characteristics of a portal:

  • "One stop shopping" that provides access to content, applications and collaborative or community building functionality
  • Personalized views that provide this access in the context of an individual's preferences and business rules
  • Flexible navigation, including both pre-defined roadmaps and powerful free-form search

Generally a portal is an umbrella application or framework which can effectively organize and present information from multiple applications.

What is a portlet?

A portlet is a program which allows a portal to access another program or information. There is often more than one portlet for a given application or information set, linking the portal to a different view of the application or piece of data.

What is HR-XML

The HR-XML consortium focuses on the payload specifications for HR, while ADP HR/Benefits Composite Services refer to the APIs and tools needed to manipulate the payload.
